Step 1
Consultation & Assessment
As with all our bespoke work, it begins with a relaxed, no-pressure consultation over tea or coffee.
We’ll talk through your ideas, inspirations, and the story behind the jewellery you'd like to remodel. At the same time, we’ll carefully evaluate your existing pieces — examining the metals and gemstones to determine what can be re-used, what’s worth preserving, and how we can incorporate them into your new design.
Every consultation is handled with empathy and honesty, understanding how important these pieces are to you.
Step 2
Design & Visualisation
We then begin the design process, bringing ideas to life using CAD (Computer-Aided Design). This gives you a clear, realistic visual of your future piece before we begin any physical work.
You’ll have the chance to refine and personalise the design, ensuring that what we create stays true to your story, your vision, and the sentiment behind the original jewellery.
Step 3
Dismantling & Transformation
Once the design is finalised, we begin the careful process of dismantling your old jewellery. The gold is melted down, gemstones are reset or repurposed, and the transformation begins.
What emerges is a brand new piece — rich with history, infused with meaning, and made to last another hundred years.
This is where the old and the new come together - a celebration of legacy, memory, and craftsmanship.
Step 4
Hand-Crafting & Finishing
Our goldsmiths handcraft your remodelled piece using the same traditional techniques we use for all bespoke work. Every element is made with the care and respect your materials deserve.
The final touches - a unique texture, an engraving, or a modern polish - complete your newly reimagined heirloom.

Case Study
Hywel & Allan’s Remodelled Wedding Bands
When Hywel and Allan came to us to create their wedding bands, they brought something incredibly special — a collection of Hywel’s late mother’s jewellery, full of sentiment, stories, and treasured memories.
Together, we set out to transform those heirloom pieces into two completely unique, modern wedding bands that honoured the past while celebrating a new chapter in their lives.
From Memory to Design
Over tea and a relaxed consultation, we looked through the jewellery Hywel had inherited — including a beautiful pear-shaped sapphire, vibrant princess-cut rubies, and round diamonds. We discussed their ideas, style preferences, and the meaning behind the original pieces. Then we began sketching.
They were both drawn to the idea of bold, signet-style rings — strong, sculptural bands that felt contemporary yet timeless. Using CAD, we created detailed 3D visuals that allowed them to explore the design and refine every detail before we moved forward.
The Dismantling & Transformation
With the designs finalised, we carefully dismantled the original jewellery. Each gemstone was delicately removed, and the gold was melted down — ready to be reshaped into something new and deeply meaningful.
Hywel’s ring became a sculptural statement piece, featuring his mother’s striking pear-shaped sapphire set into a chunky signet band — a powerful centrepiece filled with personal history.
Allan’s ring echoed the same form, but with his own identity — incorporating princess-cut rubies into the design for a rich, vibrant contrast and visual connection between the two rings
One-of-a-Kind Showstoppers
The finished rings were nothing short of showstoppers — bold, elegant, and completely unique. They reflected Hywel and Allan’s bond and personal style while preserving the emotional legacy of a much-loved family member.
