Meet the team

At Neil Rayment Goldsmiths, we’re proud to be a close-knit team of two passionate creatives and skilled artisans. Each member brings their own unique journey, talent, and perspective to the bench—united by a shared commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and exceptional service.

Neil Rayment - Founder, Master Goldsmith & Designer

Neil is the creative force and guiding hand behind our studio. With over 30 years of experience, Neil combines traditional British goldsmithing techniques with bold, contemporary design to create truly bespoke jewellery.

After studying Fine Art at Canterbury University, Neil refined his technical craft through rigorous, traditional training at the Medway College of Art and Design, followed by an apprenticeship with a master silversmith in Hatton Garden, London. By the age of 23, he had launched his own business and just three years later won the inaugural UK Jewellery Awards ‘Young Designer of the Year’.

Since then, Neil has gone on to receive numerous awards and accolades—but what truly defines him is his commitment to craftsmanship, his passion for storytelling through jewellery, and his belief in nurturing the next generation of makers.

In the studio, Neil is not only a master craftsman but a mentor—sharing his knowledge and approach with emerging talent like Elan, and fostering a collaborative, creative environment rooted in excellence and respect for the craft.

Elan – Assistant Jewellery Designer & Goldsmith

Originally from the scenic town of Caernarfon, Elan brings a fresh creative energy and meticulous eye for detail to the workshop. Her journey into jewellery began with a foundation course in Art and Design at Coleg Menai, where her love for material, form, and texture first took shape.

She went on to hone her skills at the prestigious Birmingham School of Jewellery in the city’s historic Jewellery Quarter, completing a three-year degree in Jewellery Design and Silversmithing. Here, Elan deepened both her technical abilities and conceptual design thinking.

Now working closely under Neil’s mentorship, Elan continues to develop her craft in a dynamic, real-world studio setting—where traditional techniques and modern design intersect daily. The opportunity to learn directly from an award-winning master goldsmith is a vital part of her creative and professional growth.

Elan plays a key role in both the design and making of bespoke pieces, contributing fresh ideas, technical precision, and a warm, approachable presence to the team.
