At Neil Rayment Goldsmiths, we design and handcraft bespoke engagement rings and wedding rings from our workshop in Cardiff, Wales. Every ring begins with a conversation—your story, your ideas, your inspirations—translated into a one-of-a-kind piece made to last a lifetime.

Your Story. Your Design.
Our engagement rings and wedding rings are not sold as off-the-shelf products. Instead, this page acts as a moodboard of inspiration, showcasing design styles, details, and ideas that can be adapted, refined, or completely reimagined as part of our bespoke process.
Whether you arrive with a clear vision or just a feeling, we’ll design a ring that is entirely your own.
Our Process
Our bespoke engagement & wedding ring process
Step 1 — Inspiration
& conversation
Your story, your ideas, your influences. From memories and places to art, heritage, or something entirely personal.
Step 2 - Design & visualisation
Your story, your ideas, your influences. From memories and places to art, heritage, or something entirely personal.
Step 3 - Craftmanship
Handcrafted in Cardiff, Wales
Every ring is handmade in our Cardiff workshop by a close-knit team of two passionate goldsmiths, using traditional British goldsmithing techniques.
Step 4 - Your Ring
A one-of-a-kind engagement or wedding ring, designed around your story and made to last a lifetime.
Led by award-winning master goldsmith Neil Rayment, with over 30 years’ experience, our work ranges from deeply personal engagement rings to nationally significant pieces, including the creation of two National Eisteddfod Crowns.
Materials & ethical sourcing
We work with a carefully selected range of exceptional stones, including lab-grown and natural diamonds, coloured gemstones, and opals, alongside Fairtrade gold and recycled precious metals.
We choose to work primarily with lab-grown diamonds for their ethical and environmental advantages, while also offering responsibly sourced natural and Canadian diamonds for those who prefer them. All gold used outside of recycled materials is sourced from Fairtrade suppliers, and we apply the same ethical standards to the coloured gemstones we select.
What inspires you?
Inspiration doesn’t have to come from jewellery. It often comes from life—memories, places, stories, and moments that matter to you. Your engagement or wedding ring can be inspired by anything, not just traditional styles.

Memories & milestones
A moment, a person, a shared experience.

Places & travel
Where you met, where you fell in love, or somewhere that feels like home.

Nature & landscape
Coastlines, forests, mountains, light, texture, movement.

Heritage & identity
Family history, culture, symbols, or traditions.

Stories, film & music
A favourite book, film, TV series, or piece of music.

Animals & pets
Companions, symbols, or meaningful details.

Hobbies & passions
Art, sport, craft, food, or something uniquely yours.

Something entirely personal
If it matters to you, it’s worth designing around.
If it has meaning to you, it can be designed into your ring.
Style Inspiration
Some clients enjoy starting with recognisable design influences, while others begin with a story. Below are a few design directions we often explore—each interpreted through a bespoke design process.

Art Deco–Inspired Rings
Bold geometry and architectural form, reinterpreted through a bespoke design process.

Art Nouveau–Inspired Rings
Flowing forms inspired by nature, movement, and decorative detail.

Contemporary Rings
Clean lines, considered proportions, and modern restraint.

Mid-Century–Inspired Rings
Soft geometry and sculptural form, balanced and expressive.

Vintage-Inspired Rings
Enduring forms, refined detail, and a sense of history.

Organic & Expressive Rings
Design informed by natural form, texture, instinct, and movement.
