Art Deco Cluster Engagement Ring with Baguette & Marquise Diamonds and Ceylon Sapphires
Art Deco Engagement Ring Designed in Cardiff
This bespoke Art Deco engagement ring was designed and handcrafted in our Cardiff workshop for Sophie. She was drawn to the elegance of a cushion-cut diamond, framed within a structured sapphire halo that would feel distinctive and architectural.
At the centre sits a beautifully proportioned cushion-cut diamond, selected for its balance of soft curves and defined facet structure. Surrounding it, we designed a halo of custom-cut sapphire baguettes — each stone specifically cut for Sophie’s ring to ensure precise alignment and symmetry.
Smaller marquise diamonds were introduced between the sapphires to add contrast and movement, enhancing the layered composition while maintaining strong Art Deco geometry.
The ring is finished with a classic D-shaped band, offering comfort and a smooth, timeless profile that complements the bold structure of the setting.
The result is a ring that feels intricate yet controlled — refined in proportion, vibrant in colour, and unmistakably Art Deco in influence.

From Sketch to CAD: Designing a Bespoke Engagement Ring in Cardiff
Every bespoke engagement ring we create begins with consultation sketches followed by precision CAD modelling. For Sophie’s ring, this stage was essential in developing the structured sapphire baguette halo and ensuring each custom-cut stone aligned perfectly around the cushion-cut diamond.
Through CAD, we refined:
- The proportions of the central diamond
- The spacing and taper of the sapphire baguettes
- The placement of the marquise diamond accents
- The balance between halo structure and band profile
This careful refinement ensures architectural accuracy before the ring is handcrafted in our Cardiff workshop.
